Parking and transport
Parking
Limited FREE 45-minute parks are available to the sides of the front of Drill Hall Gallery (across the road, off Kingsley St).
Paid parking is available during business hours at the following locations:
- ANU parking at Toad Hall (off Kingsley Street, across the road)
- Watson Street, Turner (a hop, skip & jump across Barry Drive from the Co-op)
- Hutton Street, Acton (a block towards ANU and around the corner)
ANU parking becomes FREE after 5pm weekdays, public parking is FREE after 5:30pm. ALL parking is FREE throughout the weekend
The Co-op has a very limited number of parking permits for use in Turner and Acton parking areas. These are only available to members who are undertaking Working Member hours.
Please call ahead of time if you are hoping to use one of these permits as we cannot guarantee availability. (Parking spots close by are also not guaranteed!)
Please chat with the manager on duty to be shown the borrow & return procedure.
Public transport & cycling
To plan your journey to the Co-op on public transport, use the Transport Canberra Journey Planner.
We are right next to the ANU Rimmer Street bus stop (Stop ID 4529) and a number of the Rapid Buses (2, 3 and 4) and regular buses (32 and 50) stop here.
There are a number of bike stands at the front of the Co-op to lock your bike to, and we are just off the C1 bike path at the corner of Barry Drive and Kingsley Street.
From ANU Campus
We are a short walk (and even shorter bike ride) from the centre of ANU Campus.
From Kambri, walk north on Tangney Road, turn right on to Kingsley Street and follow the street until you see us on the right. If you get to Barry Drive traffic lights you’ve gone too far.
Accessibility
The Co-op is wheelchair accessible from the Kingsley Street side. We have a single wheelchair-accessible toilet.
If you have suggestions on how we can improve accessibility in the Co-op, please don’t hesitate to talk to one of our managers or email our General Manager.
We have a baby highchair available.
